Terrible Service! Order never delivered! I ordered at 10:30pm and after check out it said the order would be delivered in 60-75min. I waited a little over 50 minutes before calling as they were only a couple blocks around the corner from me. I got a voice mail saying they closed at 11pm. Called several times but nothing. My order never showed up. I was starving and by then everything in the area was closed. I called seamless directly and they refunded me the order. I have yet to hear anything from "The Spot". I only wonder what their food tastes like..??

The food is good... when it gets here. I've ordered from here a few times, and my advice to you is this: don't order when you're starving! The food takes well over an hour to get to you, and it's usually cold.

We love the spot! What they lack in decor they make up in friendly service. It doesn't hurt that their drinks are tasty and reasonable, too. We've also ordered delivery from the Spot and that's the only element knocking this review down from 5 stars. You DO have to wait a little longer than the 30-45 minutes estimated (usually an hour - we're a few avenues away) but the food is definitely worth it! We LOVE, the short ribs, and how - soft, melting off the bone and filled with flavor. The mushroom ravioli is sublime, thinly coated in a sauce peppered with asparagus tips and little bit of better, and the artichoke salad is delightful, so don't sell yourself short by not getting an appetizer. If you don't want to wait - head straight over. You'll be happy.

Terrible! I ordered pasta prima vera and the only veggies inside were asparagus, broccoli and mushrooms. (oh and garlic, is that a vegetable?) OK, it is not Spring, but tomatoes are in season. I would forgive them if they were just trying to be seasonal, but asparagus is not in season. This is a poor showing of Prima Vera, and grossly over priced. I also tried the minestrone, which was not good either. I won't bore you with the details.

The food is pretty decent, and was delivered promptly. The penne ala vodka was a bit garlicky, but otherwise delicious.

The Spot Roast Chicken is one of my favorites!

talk about uneven service and food.

The delivery time is fairly accurate, especially when I calculated how far I lived from the restaurant but I didn't mind waiting because the food was good. I loved the Spot burger I ordered which went well with the seasoned french fries on the side. Would recommend the pork chops w/ bbq sauce. You get two healthy portions of pork chops with any two sides available(garlic mash is pretty good) for a price that's worth it.

The food here has declined a bit recently. The chicken francese used to be really really good. Now it comes with a light bredding that is very very soggy. The sauce is very buttery and one dimensional. Prices are still a but high at this place .

I love the flavor of their Chicken Marsala, which I usually order with a side of pasta and sauteed spinach. Yum.

Avoid. Avoid at all costs. We order our food, and then they call and tell us they are out of burger. Fine, we swap for another meal. Then they call back and tell us they're out of oreo cake. Fine, we swap that out too for another dessert. Then they finally accept the order 15 minutes after we originally placed it. Est. Delivery time: 30-45 minutes. After 1 hour, we call. They tell us it'l be another half hour, because they were so busy. We call after that, they tell us it's going out the door soon. At the TWO HOUR mark I call to cancel the order ,she tells me it's already out the door. If I want to cancel, I have to tell the driver. Total delivery time - 2.5 hours. This was the worst food I've had in new york city. Everything was cold to the touch. Fries were soggy. The spaghetti, I kid you not, had a crappy from-a-tin-can sauce on it. We finished none of our food. If this was my first experience on seamless I would have never have come back to the site.

Took over an hour to get the food and it was cold.

I didn't have a problem with delivery time, but I did have a problem with the execution of my meal. I ordered the BBQ pork chops, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. The potatoes came in the same container as the pork chops, and since I ordered the chops with BBQ sauce, the potatoes were absolutely drowning in BBQ sauce - gross! Also, I ordered the salad with ranch dressing. I really wished they would've put the dressing on the side, because the salad was ALL dressing....you couldn't even see any green. I did order the chocolate mousse which is by far the most delicious item I ordered. But once again, they prepared it very strange as it had some random, soupy cream in a pool next to the slice. Very weird. Next time I'll know better, I guess, and ask for dressings on the side!

An hour and twenty minutes for ice cold food.

I'm actually surprised this place isn't rated higher than it is. I've had the roasted chicken and the pork chop; both were pretty good. The sides, esp the spinach, are great too. It's a little overpriced, but I haven't experienced the slow delivery times that are mentioned in other reviews.

My favorites are The Spot Burger the Linguine Alfredo with Shrimp and the Grilled Tilapia. The flavors are fantastic and the food is just as tasty when i'm home as it is when i have time to go to their restaurant.

5 starts just for the BURGERS! I LOVE their cheeseburgers. I don't know what i'm going to do when I move out of the neighborhood - it's my go to meal. They're juicy and delicious. The other food i've had from the spot is OK. I've never eaten in so can't comment on the service.

Ordering brunch on Sunday was a horrible experience. The food took an hour and a half to arrive and it was all soggy and tasteless. The English Muffin and the Bagel were the worst. Eggs were also cold and soggy. Never again.

I think the spot is very reliable, and you get what you order. The Paella isn't amazing, but it's pretty good. I really like their short ribs, and my boyfriend enjoys the roasted chicken. I LOVE the key lime pie, and the complimentary bread. I've personally never had any problems with my orders. I ultimately gave it 5 stars because it's the best American comfort food in the neighborhood, although I'd probably rate it a bit lower on yelp. My only complaint- I really wish they would not serve their food in styrofoam containers. Those containers say recyclable, but they are not in NYC. Plus, it just isn't appetizing to have your food show up in styrofoam, and kind of clashes with the homestyle vibe I think the spot is going for.

I ordered fries with a meal and they were both soggy and burned - and crusted dark brown with something mysterious. Absolutely disgusting. This restaurant just doesn't care, go to McDonald's and you'll get better service and the same quality food.

I have never had a huge problem with delivery and I order out quite a lot from The Spot. (I've never eaten in the restaurant.) I've never had breakfast food from them, but I think their dinner food is yummy and comforting. The Chicken Francaise, the Roasted Chicken, etc. with garlic mashed potatoes and any veggie side is yum to me. The lobster ravioli did not disappoint. I'm less enthused about the burgers, but I am too much of a fan of the dinner food to let that turn me away. The desserts, such as the chocolate mousse cake and carrot cake, are satisfying as well. I'm confused by the low stars, but I'm guessing brunch and burgers fail to please.

I'm not sure how this place would get a good review. I'm surprised they haven't gone under yet. The food just isn't good and there are better places to eat in the area.

Tasty food but order did take over 1 hour and 45 min.

Food is actually good, but the service is horrendous. We have lived in the neighborhood for years and they were fine until last year. Since then we have ordered sporatically and there is always something up. Whether it is the food being completely overdone, or them missing many items from our order. We have decided that this place is just not worth the hassle and will unfortunately not be coming back based on the hassle it has created.

The Spot is good....not great....not bad....just good. They're pretty quick with delivery and the girls that answer the phone are always really cool. If they brought the food quality up a lil more, they would get a lot more business.

This is the first time the lousiness of a meal has compelled me to write something nasty on the internet. I am not picky. And perhaps I wouldn't have bothered had it not taken 75 minutes for the blandest (coldest, after such a wait, goes without saying, although the use of some sort of Spam relative in lieu of Canadian bacon is I suppose also worth pointing out) Eggs Benedict I have ever encountered and the grimmest hunk of overcooked congealed cheese topped hamburger that has ever knocked around a styrofoam tray strewn with burger fixings gone awry because some idiot never heard of a toothpick. It seems statistically improbable that your experience with this restaurant could rival ours in the category of badness, but why would you risk it.

We've only had good experiences with the Spot. Our favorites are the crab cake, pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes and creamy spinach. Delivery people are very good and nice as well.

Terrible delivery time, do not order if you want your food in under 90 min

The food seemed like it would have been pretty good, had it not been ice-cold when it finally arrived over an hour after I ordered it. Terrible service, never ordering there again.

The food is a 5, but the delivery is soooo slow so I can't give that high of a rating. If you can wait it's worth it!

My delivery took about 2 hours to arrive. I called twice to find out they were super busy and had no people to deliver the food. I was just about to call and cancel the order when the food finally arrived. In the end, the food was good, but cold.

The food is okay. But the delivery service is awful. I've order a few times just to give the place a fair shot, but I've never had a delivery go as I'd hope. It always takes an hour or more. The second time they brought the wrong order. The third time forgot one of the dishes. And the fourth time I called after not receiving my order after 90 minutes and the woman on the phone said I canceled the order. So, no, I would not recommend ordering from The Spot online. It might be a different story if you go the restaurant.

They took an hour from the time I placed the order to even leave the restaurant! And when I called, the lady on the phone had a huge attitude. Really, really, rude.

Food is decent, rarely have most of the special items they list on the menu. Delivery people are ok.

I ordered from The Spot twice. The first time, everything went fine and the food was good. The second, the delivery time was significantly longer than projected and the deliveryman didn't ring the buzzer to my building, even when my fiance (who was not at home at the time the deliveryman called his cellphone) told him to, so I had to go chasing after him outside after my fiance called me to tell me the deliveryman was outside. No utensils were included, even though there was a specific request for them in the order. Most annoyingly, I had ordered the artichoke salad for the second time since I enjoyed it the first time, but the dish I received was significantly different. The first time, the artichokes were fried. This time, it was like they just dumped canned artichokes on the salad, and there were a great number of whole peppercorns or some other unpleasant, tough spice that made the salad totally inedible.

Yuck. I have nothing good to say. Everything tasted like it came from a can. The food reminded me of Rockefeller University cafeteria. Strange combinations of canned food.
